Magic door

Technical design and production of the "Magic door", a work by Monika Sosnowska. Commissioned by the Government Buildings Agency (RGD) for the Ministry of Interior. “Magic door” is a sliding door operated by speech recognition; for a person that says the password correctly the artwork will open itself. “Magic door” is made of anodized aluminum and controlled through a PLC which command the 15 frequency controlled motors. The artwork is located at a so called forbidden area and therefore not accessible to the public. Dimensions:370x901x57 cm.
